The Roads Are Not Bad But It’s Those Secondary Streets…

So says the meteorologist. It’s always the secondary streets. And residents around here who are at home due to work being cancelled always park on the curb instead of in their own driveway. Which makes icy streets even riskier to drive on. No leeway for slipping and sliding around.

Most communities here has laws requiring folks to park in their driveway

@MarineBob well apparently not here. And a neighbor across the street has brought the tractor part of a semi truck and parked it on the curb, another truck of his and parked it. His wife has a car and two children (thankfully now grown), also had vehicles. But even driving along the street to the next stop sign other people do it too. I don’t know why if they have two vehicles they can’t park them in their driveway. Maneuvering between cars parked on both sides of the street is not easy when there’s ice on the road.
