Have you ever tried couch surfing?

It's safe but it gets stuck in the doorways

I know people who've done it. They say it's safe if you keep your wits about you and ideally don't do it alone. She met lots of lovely people, but also a few dodgy ones.

I do host and surf when traveling. Thats one of the best thing that I came across. Did you couchsurf here in India?

Too many instances of women being assaulted and raped. Not sure I would recommend traveling there, let alone doing it alone.
