Plane or train?

I think my next short adventure is gonna be by train.
Some of them have little rooms.
More comfortable and you can actually see things (besides clouds on a plane)
I would love to travel by train one day
The journey is as important as the destination.

From white linen and table service in the dining car; to being lulled asleep in your cabin by the sound of the rails.
Travelling by train is a cozy, romantic way to add another dimension to a holiday.

Plane. I've been railroading for almost 30 years. I need a break
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I like both. A plane for really long trips.
BeachGirl47 · 26-30, F
I like a train ride. Like you said. You can see more.

I always plane…

Both for me

Trains are great -- but in my part of the world, hideously expensive. Cabin for 2, 1200 mile trip through the mountains, return, 2 days each way, over $4400!!!

@FrozenWasteland yea, I wouldn't travel that far by train
Train travel, when done right, is quite enjoyable.
It can also be more expensive than other forms of travel

Ferry. Go across to the Island and cycle over there.

I chose the train for my last holiday.

Traveling by plane defeats the purpose. No adventure involved.
iamnikki · 31-35, F
@MethDozer it really isn't. I was slightly disappointed on my first plane trip looking out the window. I thought it would look so spectacular. In my mind, I thought I'd get to see the outline of my state and thought the clouds would look magical lol. WRONG.
