Was at a party this past Friday.
Met some new people.
Met this couple who had similar experiences.
They traveled more than most when working.
Now a lot in retirement.
They seem to have their stuff together, nice looking old people. Nicely outfitted. I noticed they had a nice car.
We talked about mutual places visited.
She was okay, wandered off. He bitched about almost every place he’d been. Every place was too expensive, too hot, too cold, too crowded and or too dangerous.
And, “Foreign countries have no place to park.” “What? Public transportation is awesome everywhere but most places but here.” “I got my rental car towed for no good reason Italy. Cost me a lot for that. AND all the signs are in metric.”
He didn’t like the food in Italy either. To me, no offense France, Italy invented food. Oh, and Alaska is too cold.
