That's apalling.

Do you know that they have to calculate the amount of fuel by weight of the plane it requires to get off the runway and from point a to point b.
Also calculating for possible delays and such.
How they do this on a commercial flight is probably an average.
Now imagine being on a boat or a plane and finding out the amount of fuel was somehow miscalculated.
Would your friends feelings matter then?

Not weight but I’ve known people who have had to buy two seats. It’s really shameful that has to happen.

I think that was tried a long time ago but discontinued by airlines bc it weirded ppl out. I wonder if someones trying it out again due to the fuel crisis.

I doubt this. She's probably just laying it on. She might have had to pay for two seats but nobody is going to be that dumb to step on scales.

They should just have a few seats in the back of the plane that are for larger humans. I don't agree with the mandatory two-seat purchase. It's still just one person.

Well.. the plane has a certain weight capacity to fly regardless if its luggage or a person. The seats and capacity are designed for an average sized person. If someone wieghs the amount of 2 average people, it makes sense...
