Has anyone been to France?

No but I have been to Paris Ontario. ;)

North is a bit industrial
Central is mountainous and arable
Southern is 'showy' and expensive !!
But, has to be said, great food and wine anywhere you go.

I've been to France but didn't spend much time there. While staying in Geneva I would take walks across the border into France.

Went there back in high school on an exchange and did not have a good time. I do not want to go back ever again

France sounds cool....but I'd still rather go back to Australia in a heartbeat!

I found it lovely. Took a french class before I went because I wanted to at least try to learn some of the language. That seemed to help in my communications. Just have to be careful of the Paris taxi drivers. Some of real con artists.

I visited Paris with friends when I was in college. I actually had a really nice time and the people were very friendly to me. It wasn't until I returned home that someone told me that was unusual. But my parents and brother have all had the same experience, and they've spent more time there than I have. My brother spent a summer in Nice after graduation.

several times..... there are lots of french people there and its very hot
