How's everyone doing? :)
I am pretty excited...getting there... I have spent most of my day going around and trying to figure art materials in the most bizarre of places. I loved it. In between heat, taking pictures, having cold drinks, I bought a pair of cork simple sandals, and trying to get my things together to organise in my mind the frame of the art circles I will guide within this retreat.
I am moved that I have managed to come here and do this.
I am doing it...:) Tomorrow is my last day around to figure the last materials and then I am moving to the retreat center. Will have there another extra day to land and wonder around, check the space and figure where I will hold the art workshops. I am thinking, one will happen outdoors and people will be seated on earth and the other indoors, in a large yoga sala.
I am exploring dragon themes. A variety of them. I will need to find coconut little vessels for my colors, I'd love to have them there. I bought today some special chinese ink. And I am carrying with me plant based colors made from my friend in Greek soil. And I bought some extra acrylics from here, a brand named Leonardo that I haven't seen in the West. I mean I knew Van Gogh and Rembrandt but didn't know of Leonardo. I always liked him heheh
I tried to find some local balinese batik colors but no luck so far. They tried to sell me a whole packaged and they didn't let me just buy a single color. I explained of how I am traveling and cannot carry much. Maybe tomorrow I will have more luck, or maybe it is meant to happen like that, and after the retreat I will explore the batik by myself....
It's late but part my excitement, the jet lag, the excitement and heat, all keep me up. Plus a wonderful coffee I had pretty late in the afternoon uhm - shouldn't have done that, but I had a very needed time at that cafe.
I'm going for a shower now to cool down a bit, I'll pass by here, and then off to sleep...
