@AthrillatheHunt I hope you’re right thank you

Wouldn't bring a cellphone with you. Get one here. They will look through your cellphone and that could easily cause massive delays, even if they don't find anything. It takes time to even just look.

@swirlie far better than you do. I have been in the computer industry for decades. Plus I have held a security clearance.

@DeWayfarer
...all of which is totally irrelevant to any of this discussion. You being in the computer industry with a security clearance means absolutely nothing when you yourself cannot comprehend what US border security are doing at border crossings with Canadian cellphones.
Maybe it's time you started to pay attention to what's actually happening in the USA instead of trying to pretend that you're an authority on cellphone technology, which clearly you are not?

@swirlie listen please. All of this is alleviated if she doesn't bring a cellphone.

Believe it or not, the FAA website offers real-time information on airport delays caused by air traffic control, https://nasstatus.faa.gov/
Which is what I assume you're asking.

Word of caution, the US border control is now requiring Canadians to get fingerprinted and reveal to them all of their personal data before crossing into the USA. Your cellphone contents will also get downloaded by US Border control and if they don't like anything that you have on your phone, you will be denied access to the USA. The Canadian Travel Association are cautioning Canadians to avoid all travel to anywhere in the USA unless it's essential travel, which means business travel only.
As far as your question is concerned, YES, there have been extensive delays in and out of JFK airport in New York because of air traffic control staffing issues which is a country-wide problem across the entire USA. Houston will be no different, regardless of what airline you are flying. Expect to experience extensive departure delays leaving Toronto for all flights bound for US destinations.

@TryingtoLava I’m flying in from Toronto and have a connecting flight in/out of Houston so I don’t really have any control over what time I get there but I won’t have to go through security. Or what you said it is a bit of a relief to me.
@Jenny1234 o youll be fine ;)
