The London face and the Job Centre.
So today was the day of the job centre (pretty much the welfare office) appointment- somewhere I never thought I'd see myself.
I'd been on the defensive all morning after hearing nightmare stories from my friends about how belittling they are.
I'd come in with that London face the topdogs pull- stern and hungry, cutthroat (anyone who has worked in London for finance should know what I'm talking about) and if I got attitude I was expecting to do a John Cena actor style mindtrick- set up a verbal trap and say "Why would you say something like that?", etc. 🤭
Nope- I have to say the lady was very helpful and nice and I had to loose the act as she was so nice.
Straightforward appointment and no complaints from me- there is always next week from their "job coach" though.
Maybe they see my experience and think twice, they could possibly pick on people with low interpersonal skills.
