There seems to be a spate of social media videos of American tourists quoting US laws when stopped by police in other countries.

Refusing to provide ID seems to be the most common, leading on to an inevitable arrest. And the fools are filming it themselves thinking they’re in the right.

Saying loudly and slowly “I am an American” doesn’t count for shit outside of America. Perhaps airline cabin crew should run through this as they start their descent.

I haven’t seen any here in my country.

What videos show up for you is personalized and determined by what the feed algorithm on those sites thinks you will engage with, positively or negatively. Or put another way, for social media sites, negative attention is better than no attention. So it will show you things that will piss you off.
@DDonde Yeah I know how cookies work.

It doesn’t change a thing regarding my point.

I wonder if some of them might be fake, just to get views.

@CGS1984 Where do you see these? In the US or somewhere else? I have never seen any of them. I do know that if you show an interest in something they find more and more of it for you.
@Poppies Instagram and YouTube. They aren’t something I’d choose to watch. I generally go for stand up comedy or documentaries.
