Great pics. I can still clearly remember walking up the ramp of a ferry going to Ostende from there in the days when foot passengers were still regularly welcomed on ferries.

@BritishFailedAesthetic That was The Herald of Free Enterprise which sank minutes into its voyage from Zeebrugge to Dover. A terrible disaster. Most people were on a £10 day trip sponsored by The Sun. (6th March 1987)

@BritishFailedAesthetic It truly was. The rules for leaving the dock before the bow doors are fully closed were changed and these days the systems are completely different with alarms on the bridge if they are still open.
