Anyone ever book a flight through Expedia or kayak?

I’m getting ready to book my flight to go see my friend in July and Expedia and kayak both have some decent rates, but I’ve never booked through them before I’ve only ever booked directly with the airline or through a travel agent

Have you ever booked through kayak or Expedia and what was your experience?

Ah! Yes Expedia here in UK.

From experience it SEEMS like going to a Flight agent is a few quids cheaper? (After their service fee which is usually around £20 mark).

Can DIY online but need t be 100% certain it genuine site or do it directly thru Company's website.

Expedia is genuine.
I've used Expedia quite a bit. In my experience it does not give cheaper rates than booking directly through the airlines, but it gives you the information all in one place and it does give you points that add up to discounts on future flights pretty quickly.

Assuming they have cheaper fare?
I’ve used both. I’m not sure what you mean by experience. That part usually comes into play when your flight is rescheduled or canceled etc which hasn’t happened to me. Anything specific you want to know?

I have used Expedia. It went as advertised. I don't fly often and only used them once. I would use them again.

I did once years ago, but then got treated like a second class customer. If someone needs to get bumped, it'll be you.
These days I've found that the prices are not much cheaper on the "discount" sites, and with the benefits of booking directly automatically are worth it for the few dollars difference

10 years ago, I used Expedia for a trip to the USA.
Everything went well... no complaints. That was 10 years ago though.

Travelocity is very user friendly.

All the prices will be alike no matter who you use
