The Maldives' long history as a trading hub brought Arabic influences into its food culture. Grilled meats, samosas (Bis Keemiya), and date-based desserts reflect Middle Eastern culinary traditions. Additionally, bread varieties like Huni Roshi (coconut flatbread) resemble Arabic-style flatbreads.
