Has anyone ever stayed in a hostel?

@being I'm going to miami next week and my room got canceled but i can't find anything else in that price range so I'm thinking about just saying what the hell cheaping out and giving it a try I'm sure it'll make it easier for making friends for the weekend

@SW-User go for it. Worst case scenario is being somewhat uncomfortable but you can always say something about your preferences in the shared spaces.
And usually others are being respectful..:)

@being great to hear i think I'm going to try it. Last time i went to miami I didn't get in till 4 and was back out by 7:30 so a room isn't really a necessity there lol

@being one more thing though i found a mix dorm which i assume is male and female but i will book their private room instead but it's only half board so the second bed will have someone else in it. I'm assuming i won't be alone sharing a hotel style room with a male but have you seen that before

@SW-User I haven't. But if it's a mixed dorm, it technically can happen. Do as you feel right. Anytime you're feeling uncomfortable, you're talking to the manager..

@being thank you i think I'm familiar enough with the area to give it a try. I know international travel will be a lot easier if i have my mind open to hostel stays here and there. I would definitely feel way better sharing a room with another female than some random guy but I'll try and hope for the best.

@SW-User just go for the hostel. Hostels nowadays are taken care off, not like once upon a time. Have a good time 😌

@being i think it going to book it but do you know if there's uses locked storages or something for expensive clothes and jewelry
