I took a flight to Florida a few years ago and my bags, 3 of them, weren't in the luggage carousel. I filed a missing baggage report. When I went to get a rental car, my bags were there. I just grabbed them and loaded them in the rental thinking that the airline had located them and brought them out to the rental agency. A few weeks later $1200 was credited to my Amex for the lost bags. I called the airline with my claim number and they said they had not been able to locate them. To this day I have no idea how my bags got to the rental agency.

I'm happy to hear that they are mailing you a cheque. But they could opt for a courier in place of Canada Post.

They'll do anything to get more interest on your money. The slower the better. Be thankful that the pony Express is still not around and on strike.

Ask for fedex delivery (or similar)
Or give you credit on the card you used to pay the tickets
