@Stephie She's definitely smoking. Her cigarette was the first thing I noticed, probably because I'm still dealing with the uncomfortable surprise I felt when my mother decided to start smoking last year in her late fifties because someone convinced her that nicotine was a cure for long COVID.

@onewithshoes My friend feels the same way. Her mom is in her early 70s and she started smoking nearly a decade ago all because of an ex boyfriend that also is a smoker.
