Yes, I'd rather go alone and do what I want when I want. I go to VA Beach every year by myself, and this year I'm going to Myrtle Beach for the first time.

I traveled by myself with my dog once...in a moving truck. I was on my way to Michigan from Massachusetts, so it wasn't a pleasure trip. I accidentally locked my dog in the truck at the very first rest stop, late at night...the rest stop was just closing, but I ran inside and they called the police for me, who came and jimmied open the truck door.

I wanted to save money on motels, and I stayed at one motel in Ohio that was super scary. The staff put me down in a wing of the motel all by myself, telling me that it was for people with pets. When I checked the window in the room, it was unlocked. Most people assume the windows are locked. Also, when I went outside to walk my dog, the air conditioner outside the room was all caved in from someone stepping up on it to crawl in the window.

I have been to a few countries on my own and stayed in some hostels, I was nervous but it was fun!

Love it. Gave me a lot of self confidence. Times when I felt most alive.

It's great. The worst part is having to bring all of your baggage into the bathroom with you.. XD

yeah I went on a big trip around Europe. I think I might be able to handle Latin America next although it would be a challenge. Some people just wing it but for me overplanning would be helpful. I am realistic about my abilities and what I would prefer to do.

I have done that a few times. I was originally worried about it, but it turns out I really enjoyed it.

It's the best way, no arguing where to go or eat.
