What is special about the atmosphere, the old buildings/architecture and history of Pittsburgh/PA ?

Okay, going to be brutally honest here. Pittsburgh is not very high on list of vacation destinations. So, your dearth of responses is due to that. Yes, I know that all Steelers fans think it's the greatest city in the USA. Well, you need to face the disappointment. It's not. It's dirty, run down, not attractive, and has little to offer for a destination. Except! Maybe it's cheap compared to attractive destinations in America. Okay. I'm done now.

It has a wonderful atmosphere!

I'm not familiar with anything really interesting there per se ... from my personal experience the closest interesting spots are Fallingwater and another nearby Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home called Kentuck Knob

I'd be more interested in Philadelphia than Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh is just too far inland, I would feel trapped
