The Nags Head at Covent Garden was one of my favourites when I lived in London. There was a story that one of the big breweries Whitbreads I think, had it on a long lease from a small berewry, McMullans. When Whitbread tried to renew the lease, McMullans had forgotten they owned it. They suddenly had a pub in a popular part of London and decided to run it themselves.
