How different is this Grand Canyon of India compared to the canyons in your country?

I was womdering why usually nobody talks about grand canyons in India but mostly refer to Canyons in foreign countries but today i found out that India has a Grand Canyon too. Its in Gandikota which is small place in Andhra which is in Southern part of India and a bit over 300 km from our city Bangalore. I have never been there so these pics are taken from Google. Do they look different compared to the Grand Canyons in ypur country?
