My least favourite English ancient monument.

I have spent weeks of my life on the traffic jam that sits along Stone Henge . The A303 through Wiltshire has to be the worse ‘ trunk
road ‘ in England .
Hundreds of millions of pounds have been wasted devising a by pass or underpass for this stretch of single carriageway road over 50 years.
All schemes get rejected on ‘ environmental issues’ 😡

I always wanted to see Stonehenge and it was pretty disappointing when I got there, mainly for the area around it - the traffic does somewhat ruin it.
Stone circles that are a bit more remote or unheard of tend to be more interesting to visit.
