Moving to a different country

Has anyone else on here moved to a different country when they’re young? I moved from the UK to Australia with my parents and was pretty nervous initially but I’m glad i came here now 😊

I’m wondering what you found most challenging & what the biggest changes you had to make were & your memorable moments 🤗

I lived in Germany for 3 years in my 20s. I loved living there, but the language was difficult.

@SW-User now that would be hard, if you didn’t really know the language!! I’m lucky in that I went from English speaking to another English speaking country!!

@Chrisy1 English was the working language where I worked and there were 20,000 US military based around the town. It made it difficult to learn the language, as everyone spoke back to me in English when I tried to speak in German.

@SW-User sounds like you lifted and worked around rammstein. I life close to a Nato airbase in germany myself. Some of the workers life in my town. The kids get picked up by a special bus and driven to a special school. I don't believe that German is a subject there.
