Left my coat on the train

I can’t believe it,
I’m so stupid.
I so loved that coat
and do so need it.
Distraction’s my excuse.
For all its useless use.
I wish I was more together
without carelessness forever.
I don’t know why,
or how I’ll get by
with my head in the clouds,
a fool in the crowds.
I so loved that coat,
now it’s got my goat.
Alone in the rain,
can you feel my pain.
Coat’s still on the train.
I’m so inane.
