Old Quebec city

Yesterday I had to wake up early for my tour to old Quebec city.. This time I did not have to go meet my tour since I was already in downtown.. The only thing I was sad about, is that I was going to miss the breakfast at the hotel, because they make really tasty breakfast 🥔🥴 I am really loving this place, I can see myself coming back here when I live in Ottawa.

Then I called the driver because I am always afraid that they might not have my Canadian numbe. I was pleased the driver seemed late, so I went out on a coffee hunt.. Ran to starbucks, but it was closed, then I remembered, it was always Tim Hortons that was open too early. Whenever I had an early exam, Tim Hortons was my go to. That was a good start of the tour, since I got my coffee!! Then after the driver picked me up and dropped my off at the tour bus, he called me saying that he will come to pick me up in five minutes O.o. I was like, OK I am on the wrong bus!! 😱🥔 idk how is this possible since I confirmed my name, but with me, getting lost is ALWAYS possible! Turns out he was just stupid 🤷‍♀️

Idk what it is, but American older ladies seem to like me lol. Because on my previous tour, the people I interacted with the most were two American old ladies. This time I spent literally the entire tour also with an American lady in her 70s. (I feel most of these tours hardly have people who live in the country). She was impressive, the energy she has at her age! I loved how she loves life. She walks a lot, reads a lot, travels a lot.. She basically knows how to live life, and if there is one thing I could learn from her, it would be exactly that. It is what I am lacking. I am actually meeting her again today, and she is the first stranger I meet, who should be no longer a stranger. The thing is, I met many kind people in passing, and had many chats during my time in Canada, but I never make the fist move of asking for any contacts.. It's always been my nature, but if someone asks for mine, I'd give it.

She definitely added a lot of flavour to my tour and I did not feel lonely. Other than this, the city was beautiful and I am literally thinking of trying to change my plans to have a few days in Quebec city.. if it is possible without a hassle to cancel some reservations I already made, will do it.. The French architecture is breathtaking.. it is as if you are living in an old cartoons world.. We had also our time watching the Montmorency Falls, they were not as wide as the the Niagara's, but taller, and beautiful...

The sun was too strong though, and it wasn't until we got to water until we felt the breeze.. I think I have become more tanned than I already am...

This brings back memories from my own trip to Quebec, I also loved it there! And Tim Horton's is better than Starbucks in every way, love their dark brew!

@Mustermann They are, but I am just used to Starbucks and I am already feeling a bit strangeness in a new place.. So I find myself attached to stuff I am used to.

@BittersweetPotato I noticed when I was in Canada how all the tourists seemed to go to Starbucks while the locals went to Tim Horton's. Being a hockey fan I was already familiar with the latter and rather excited to give it a try.

Enjoy! I love Quebec (although I’m partially Quebecois)

Watch out for the heat today!

@SW-User It was too hot in the morning, but cool and rainy in the evening!
