Does anyone else feel really surreal when visiting a far away place?

I don't know if I am just odd or or if Im just too mentally stimulated by everything which I can be sometimes, but whenever I have traveled to a different country things feel odd or surreal sometimes like I've jumped into the TV screen or Im in a dream.
I mean not 100% but yeah kinda unreal but in a good way. I might just be overwhelmed by how different things are especially since I've only been out of the country a few times. Anyone else feel like this?

It felt very surreal when I was in Tijuana years ago with my best friend. We decided at the last minute to cross the border and go bar hopping. While walking to a bar, a pimp approached us inviting us to a party, he said plenty of drugs! We declined! I'll never forget how surreal that was!😳
