I get alot of speeding tickets

I think its bullshit it makes me so angry and no I'm not a bad driver or even someone that really speeds, yet I get 3 or 4 tickets a year.
I travel for work therefore I drive way more than most people. I travel about 1/6 of what a long haul trucker does.
And my speeding tickets are always baloney. Today I got one going 48 in a 30 on a highway. If you miss the tiny sign that changes the speed from 45 to 30 by one block a cop using radar is waiting behind a bush to snag you.
I think that the way tiny cities use speed traps to pad their pockets should be illegal. Speedlimit postings should be easily noticeable perhaps by flashing light or change in road design like I have seen in Europe when its such a drastic change of speed on a highway in the middle of no where.
A mile or so prior to where I got the tickets the flashing light sign said 55 and thats the last one that I saw.

Usually in the UK there is a fine plus minus three points off your licence lose twelve points your licence is gone for twelve months.

@senghenydd Thank goodness we don't have any points system. Here its just pay the fine right away and it will be totally removed from your records as though it never happened.
The amount is anywhere from 250 to 400 dollars depending on the city. If you don't have the money you can take an annoying defensive driving class which is super long online. Took me 8 hours last time. I think you can only use that once per year and you still have to pay a reduced fine and mail a notorized proof of completion to the court.

@REMsleep Yeah I prefer your system just pay the fine much fairer, the UK always gets things wrong.

@senghenydd Nah I disagree. Your country doesn't have as much blatant speed traps everywhere and our system is corupt. Why try your best to ensure that drivers will miss street signs and wait next to them to collect 400 dollars and plenty poor people don't have money in which case it does go on your record and raises your car insurance price.
Dealing with the court is a time consuming hassel as well.

@REMsleep I'm ok on the roads I know but get caught out on strange roads, as far as I know I haven't any points de-ducted at the moment, our maximum speed limit is 70 MPH.

@senghenydd Our Max is 80 in my state but we have a lot of more distance to cover and our highways are just huge.
Yeah I am the same way in unfamiliar areas but since I drive for work across the country so often I'm always in an unfamiliar area.

@REMsleep Our Satellite Navigators usually inform us where there's a safety camera {speed trap} sometimes their not up to date I would hate to lose my licence.
