How much is rent in New Jersey?

My best friend moved to New Jersey seven months ago. She said she REALLY wants me to come live up here and just because she moved doesn’t mean we can’t still be roommates. It will still happen. She said she’s planning to get her own place next year but the thing is, I can’t afford to move out and I want to finish school first. She said just transfer and I’m the ONLY person she trust and only me because the others screwed her over. I’m not even prepared or anything. I would have to get used to the cold and I really don’t wanna live there. It would be fun to be roommates but I don’t know what to think. Don’t think I’m gonna be able to have the money by next year! I need to help my dad with bills and stuff.

You should do what's best for you and it seems like staying where you are is best. Your friend might be lonely that's why she really wants you to come down. Sure you can have an open mind go there with no plan. Then what happens if your not able to find a job or a low income place. I remember my friend was trying to convince me to go to school because you can meet more friends and there's financial aid, etc. I already graduated from community College 3 times and was working while taking care of my child. So I really had no time for school. Then I asked do you have any scholarships. She said no. So basically she is recommending me to go to school then I'll get into debt not making as much or just as much then I already was. To me that's not worth it. I think sometimes friends think of their own benefit without realizing what your situation is. Like I said do what's best for you.
