How much is rent in New Jersey?

My best friend moved to New Jersey seven months ago. She said she REALLY wants me to come live up here and just because she moved doesn’t mean we can’t still be roommates. It will still happen. She said she’s planning to get her own place next year but the thing is, I can’t afford to move out and I want to finish school first. She said just transfer and I’m the ONLY person she trust and only me because the others screwed her over. I’m not even prepared or anything. I would have to get used to the cold and I really don’t wanna live there. It would be fun to be roommates but I don’t know what to think. Don’t think I’m gonna be able to have the money by next year! I need to help my dad with bills and stuff.

Depends where your moving certain towns are more expensive than others. The towns with a big downtown like Montclair Morristown Hoboken are all at least 2000+ one bedroom but you might be able to find better. The more west you go or south basically further away from NYC tends to be more affordable. Would be easier to know if she gave you a city then you can look it up.
