when you travel alone are you afraid of being raped, robbed or even kidnapped?

why or why not?
how do you cope with it?
I'm fine, but i had that conversation with a friend today who was trying to tell me that i'm being reckless and he'd suggest that i'd better be more prepared for anything happening.

I never travel alone, if I'm being honest. The only traveling I've done alone was within the metro area. If I've gone abroad it's always been with someone else. I'm not too interested in traveling alone. The risk is part of why.
