when you travel alone are you afraid of being raped, robbed or even kidnapped?

why or why not?
how do you cope with it?
I'm fine, but i had that conversation with a friend today who was trying to tell me that i'm being reckless and he'd suggest that i'd better be more prepared for anything happening.
