Had no idea it was that pretty. Most of us view it as old and gray and miserable.

@YumaJames26 not at all, it's stunning!
RubySoo · 56-60, F
@YumaJames26 its amazingly beautiful here. Really is!

@YumaJames26 "us" being of course your own circle and its narrow horizons...?
TheWildEcho · 56-60, M
@ArishMell yes I was wondering who 'us' was
@ArishMell no think he meant US as in US of A lol
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@TopCat Really? It doesn't read that way. Anyway "dull and grey" doesn't apply to large parts of the USA either!
@ArishMell no as in a large part of the USA views the UK as dull and grey :p
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@TopCat LOL! What on Earth are they told or shown about the UK? Or any other country?

That's like me imagining most of the USA to be arid deserts and flat grass-lands riven by cyclones. Or perhaps it is, 'cos that's what the films tell me and if it's made in Hollywood it must be accurate.

(I have seen a railway-station scene in which the name-board was masked with just "London", and I realise many Britons might not know all the London termini. I doubt I do. However I recall one film catering for ignorance to such an extent that to open a scene in the French capital, it showed a brief still of the Eiffel Tower captioned "Paris, France". ):-)
@ArishMell Don't worry about it... Americans think that London is the whole of Europe - so, who knows where they'll be travelling to after Brexit... 🤷‍♀️ 🤣
