The morning of July 18, 1980, wake up and warn my Dad that my mother was kidnapping my brothers and myself to leave him and take us out to iowa, that her brother is wiring her plane tickets from Portland International to Minneapolis, to notify the police and stop her. I was ten at the time.

@FigNewton All because my mother assumed that my Dad was having an affair with a woman he seen again the night before that he had not seen since third grade when him and my grandparents and siblings moved from Los Angeles to Portland, her and her family were visiting my grandparents and family from Los Angeles. She once accused my Dad of giving a little kid drugs. He had fallen asleep on his bed with his clothes still on after getting home from a 12 hour shift at the hospital where he was an RN. My mother babysat for money at the time and put some two year old boy on the bed with him for a nap, and the kid reached into my Dad's shirt pocket and was fiddling with a bottle of no doze, while my Dad was trying to sleep.
