@Wraithorn Dutch actually lol. I lived there for a while. If you sound out the words, most of them are the same. In Dutch it would be like, kan jij verstaan wat ik zeg als ik Afrikaans schrijf, or close anyway.

@SW-User Yeah, Netherlands is the country that South African Afrikaans people came from. Their culture developed quite differently but the language is still really similar. English is my 1st language...en Afrikaans is my tweede taal. 🙂
