My first solo trip was in pilot training when I was 16. Aside from the initial solo of 3 circuits around the field, my first was a flight from Tampa to Key West, also at 16. Spent the day there and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset on the way back. All in a Cessna 150. Airlines are like a bus that hops. 馃槑

@MikeSp That's nice. Do you still fly?
MikeSp56-60, M
@iamnikki Still do, and still pass the physicals with flying colors. Sorry, old pun. Have owned several aircraft. You ever flown in a small plane?

@MikeSp nice, you fly personal or have you been a airline pilot? I've never even been on a plane.

@iamnikki Never flew for hire. Always for personal and my business. I encourage you and others to get a free small airplane ride to understand flight better, and to see the airport from a different angle. Go to eaa.org and check their Young Eagles flights for kids aged 8-17, and their Eagles flights for those over 18. Only 1-3 passengers per plane. Pilot lets you take the controls of you want.

@MikeSp I'm really just wanting to travel, not be the pilot. Checked out the website though. It does say there that it is for those who are actually interested, and not for those just wanting a free plane ride.
Not gonna go there and act all interested just for a free ride. Thanks though
