Do you ever go on weekend getaways?

I need to plan one for myself...
I never had the time prior to now, since I was always in school, and working a retail job with no way to take time off, and really plan things.

Then I didn't have money to take a trip. Well now I am able to take paid time off, though I don't have much and go somewhere. I have the money, now I just need to muster up the courage to go somewhere myself. I'd like to get on a plane for the first time and go somewhere within my state (Texas) just for a weekend.
