Anyone ever road trip up North to Canada from CA. with a bunch of rugrats?!

I am planning a road trip with friends and family this summer, the idea of groups of friends and their families along with my own kids in two RV's sounds fun... but am I headed for a disaster? In total: 8 adults and probably 12 kids LOL!
