I dunno, the systemic lack of justice in their legal system, the drug cartels that kidnap and kill people with impunity, the inability of the Mexican government to contain said drug cartels, personal anecdotes of people I know who went there....

The same could be said of inner cities of Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit, and Baltimore but that doesn't mean I want to vacation there.
