Ah, but are they?
Social language conventions seem to dictate politeness and considerstion, but it's conditioned habit, not genuinely felt.
How many times have you had happen :
"Hi there"
"Fine thankyou"
I mean what? Social protocols help smooth human interactions, but generally speaking, we are becommimg numb and emotionally self centred, and care little for spending energy or effort to assist another.
Unless of course You're a Kiwi.
Them guys are the most helpful, considerate and funny buggers around.
You want to experience a compasionate social enviromment? - Go to New Zealand....everyone meet your eye walking down the street, AND they smile back. Retail staff are just so helpful, and people go out of their way to help you.
If only more of the worlds population could be as open and as genuine as these people.

@YMITheWayIM Ugh! I feel for you then!
Human social interactions are difficult enough given our diversity of personality types.
Advertising over the years has made it worse by stereotyping and quantifying people into a multitude of social subgroups.
Social Media has taken this to a whole new level, and tries to dictate in a politically correct way how we should act irrespective of our differences.
Which is ideal....but not very real.
We are encouraged to ignore the individuality of people, and act and respond in a generic manner.
But we are all unique. The multitude of differences between us are staggering.
Fuck this generic shit.!
We should be learning to see each other for who we are.
Embrace the differences that define each of us and Embrace a broader understanding than just our own.
But this is just without thinking - it requires actual focus and attention to do that, and this world is moving too fast, and people are looking inward instead of out.
We are continually bombarded with social 'perfection',and we are kept focused on obtaining that, rather than adapting society to include all culture, intellect and physical ability.
It's all about winning,
You don't need to care when you are at the top of the pile.

@BoobooSnafu I like the details. Smile.
My country is in trouble because it wants to constantly hand out free shit at the expense of people who work for a living.
