You have to see it at least once. There is no other place like Alaska. Alaska had been on my bucket list for years. I decided to book a cruise on Holland America and just go. Out of the blue, a friend (who gambles) decided to go with me. We were upgraded to the Neptune Suite on the Eurodam-first class treatment. Our suite had a full verandah, dressing area, and living room. We had our own private lounge with free laundry, champagne, chocolates etc.
I am not a professional photographer so forgive the quality of the pics. We visited Seattle, Glacier Bay, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria.

Yes! Next time, don’t cruise. Use Anchorage as your home base, rent a car and drive. Much more intimate way to see the last great frontier. @akindheart
Of course! You haven’t really seen AK until you get off the boat, IMHO. Also, go salmon or Halibut fishing! Take a plane to Kodiak and watch the bears. Bike the coastal trail and watch the Beluga Whales. Drive to Valdez a/k/a Little Switzerland. Blueberry pick, but don’t forget your bells! @akindheart
