How many miles per gallon do you do?

I worked it out at around 40 for a car that is supposed to be economic

My dad had a gas guzzler a long time ago (60 years). Big big car, and it was the lemon of the year (1958). Six miles to the gallon in the city....10 on the highway. On long trips, he had to carry two jerry cans in the trunk, to get him to a service station if he ran out.

@Serenitree I couldn't afford that 😱 it's £1.20 a litre

@Scarfface Back then Canada was using Imperial measure. And I remember when he got so upset that the price had gone up to 25 cents a gallon. So. It wasn't as ridiculous then as it would seem now. And dad made good money.

I've been driving just over 20 years and the price of fuel had more than doubled, my wage has probably increased by 10% its bonkers

@Scarfface Yes. It's crazy. Between gas prices and insurance, I'm surprised people don't have to move out of their homes and live in the cars.

I've considered buying a van and doing that 😂
