I've hike the high Sierra camp loop in Yosmeite, bounced around Hetch Hetchy once and lived in Yosemite Valley for about 3 years.

Sounds good. I packed the high country numerous times. Why did you live in the valley?

I worked there. I cleaned rooms at yosmeite village, managed the desk at housekeeping camp, was hostess at the mountain room and for a couple years worked as a concierge and front desk at the Ahwahnee.

@UnderOneSun: Sounds like hard work and, I hope, fun. Have you done much hiking otherwise? Do you still?
CarmenSanDiego · 36-40, F
Sure, but I don't backpack anymore. I like to day hike here in North Carolina. I live about 2 miles from the AT.

@UnderOneSun: Interesting. I don't backpack anymore either. I'll go to the Sierra for a week in October and day hike. I like your groups. Where have you most enjoyed traveling?
CarmenSanDiego · 36-40, F
@sierralover: I went to the Sierras for a week back in June... Was nice!
I spent a couple weeks in Egypt which was my favorite trip.... It was incredible!

@UnderOneSun: Where did you hike? Other than here I think I like the Alps and the Ozarks most - mtns of course:)

@sierralover try the Andes if you get the chance. I live at 8000' in the Sierra's and the Andes blow my mind everytime :)
