I'm a life long San Francisco Bay Area native and I would say if I could choose, I'd choose the SF baby area for the weather of all seasons and locations from cold beaches, beautiful mountains and red woods.

Another plus is that the Bay is a boiling pot of beautiful culture and tons of sites to adventure and entertainment

I do escape to San Diego from time to time for the alternate beautiful warm beaches and hippy trends.... it's up to you.

Santa Cruz is nice also.

@IntoMeYouSee Haven't been to SF in over 15 years. I've been several times though. Has it changed for the worse? That's what I hear.
@Ellen mmmmm.... I don't know what you've heard, but to me it's still the same... beats hot climates and not so liberal states

MAybe you mean the increased cost of living??? That's gotten worse

I know the weather hasn't changed. Lol That's perfect. I've heard the drug problem has gotten bad. And the homeless population has increased drastically.
@Ellen oh goodness! you're soooo right! I wasn't thinking about that. It's spread out everywhere😞... it's ugly and tacky.

I work in Berkeley and they have a camp right along the freeway beneath an overpass. Oakland, has an infestation as well and it's sick to see it's passing like a virus along Hwy80. Is also spreading to the South Bay.

Now THATS what makes the SF Bay look unappealing.
