I'd Like to Travel

I've seen a lot of the world, especially Europe and the Middle East. I am embarrassed to say I haven't seen much of the USA, my own country. I really want to walk the Appalachian Trail, and will do it in bits and pieces over the next several years.

Besides the obvious things, like Grand Canyon, Rushmore, etc., does anyone have a bucket list of must-see places in the USA?

I want to walk the Appalachian Trail too. I would like to do it all at once.

@SweetMae I'd love to as well, and maybe I will, but I'm worried about the time commitment.

@SweetMae Yes more maybe. This past summer we drive along the blue ridge parkway, which skirts the trail and the views were fabulous.
