No disinterest meant but I'm about ready to fall asleep
Been up way to long mostly watching coronation street on account of them doing an episode inspired by the murder of sophie lancaster I've never had an interest in Soap Operas I will just say I find them a bit much in the sense that there's always outlandish stuff happening on them that practically never happens in real life and they make it out like the most extreme scenarios are mundane it gets tiring the amount of god damn drama that goes on these shows and how unrealistic it all is and then they have 60 fucking seasons of it I swear I can't believe people watch this shit its why I went apeshit when people called rumbling hearts too soap opera like because I'd sat through enough of this shit before. I've always hated them. But alas, I am tolerating because Sophies story literally broke my heart worse than any woman or breakup ever did.
not that fond of true crime really, I like other shows like Strange new worlds but True crime is often on TV when NOTHING else half as interesting is so I end up watching more of it than I'd care to simply due to it being the shiniest rock in a field of shit. not hard to stand out when you don't have any real competition and that's why true crime wins.
but I asked GOOGLE what illusion was about instead of a person and got information no one told me to prepare with tissues If I had asked someone they should have but I never gave them the chance.
Curiosity didn't kill this cat but it resulted in a broken heart.

Foremost here's why it broke me. I didn't ask anyone but I got curious as to what inspired the lyrics and song by Ronan Harris and VNV Nation "illusion" only to find out Ronan had dedicated it to her in the wake of this Senseless act of violence the significance of the question itself not lost on me being chiefly I had to be in the words of the killer a "mosher" the way they define it to even be asking that damn question in the first place and they kicked her to death for being one.
so my response to this senseless slaughter was essentially to hold up a sign reading "Am I next?"
I was taking it really personally in a way that was quite frankly not my usual response to true crime, this case blew straight past my defenses my ability to stay professional to maintain an air of rationality and to stay composed and distant from things, Identified with the victims I knew we would have been friends if I had meant them due to similar interest the music I enjoy makes me part of this subculture too.

I can barely stay composed when hearing about it, I've been ganged up on before too for wearing black.
'
I know how it feels, I just got lucky they didn't escalate to violence.
if they had been just a little bit more cruel It would be me lying dead there on the ground.
rest in peace Sophie. May angels lead you in.

I'm not used to it you know, True crime stories blowing straight through my defenses like they were never even there at all. But this one got me.
