My Nonno’s funeral took place this morning and he has been interred at the local church here

I have been to several funerals in my lifetime including of one of my cousins sudden infant death, but this for her great grandfather was my daughter Chiara’s first funeral. The whole family was here for it, but only my Nonno’s children were at the interment at the churchyard in Montelepre.

We all are here having some food and drinks in honour of my grandfather before those who need to will make the flights home to their lives and to return to normality. We are implementing a plan of support for grandma led by those family members who are residing in Sicily.

Edoardo, Chiara and I have a flight home in three hours.
