I think that’s true for everyone. Life is a matter of lowering your standards more and more and until you’re happy exactly where you are and only then will you understand what it is.
@Reject It's a cycle of numbing ..scrolling ...watching t.v...doing the things you feel you have to do until you get to the next thing and the next after that ...just of enough numbing until you don't feel that existential dread ...but what really is happening is we are just programed and conditioned to want more and want better etc ....

@catastrophecarnival Numbing is solving a symptom, but it’s not curing the disease which is the unwillingness to suffer for what you believe in. Life is hard for everyone. We all must adapt which is painful. It’s those who refuse to feel that hurt and prefer to stay the same in comfort. They’re the ones who are unhappy. We aren’t here to do what’s easy. We’re here to do what challenges us because the meaning of strength can only be found there.
@Reject yes and by doing that you have to strip away the facade and look deeper ...that's scary and people don't want to do that

@catastrophecarnival They certainly don’t, people fear the unknown and it’s a great tragedy that many of us don’t see our own ability to illuminate it. We’re too busy getting in our own way.
