Do you stop trying out things when a series of bad luck hunt you?

Yeah. Like the first time I got on a horse to ride around the pasture (I was 8 years old) the ride was good. When I got off the horse and my sister got on I stood and watched and then the other horse came up and kicked me in the back, I passed out and he continued to stomp & paw and attack. I never wanted to ride another horse after that. I also got in a motorcycle accident when I was 19 years old and never wanted to ride one again.
