Stay awhile, and listen

[c=4C0073]The awful tragedy is not a platform for you to make distasteful memes and jokes about .

It is not a platform for you to further your political ideals.

It is not a platform for you to support or condemn current laws in place .

It is a tragedy, a sick cowardice act of terrorism.
Please just give a good thought, or prayer if you prefer, to the suffering survivors and lost souls. [/c]

I'm sorry but had one of these babies been a child of mine I would ABSOLUTELY want the entire Nation to react with indignation of how this just keeps happening over and over and over and over again to our kids. GFY with all the 'can't politicize a tragedy' a tragedy is an unforeseen and unpreventable event, this is nothing more than just the most recent event of child killing events that will continue to occur here. Not sorry.

@Vin53 [c=4C0073]this post was never meant to say leaders should not be held accountable .. they should.
The politics part was meant clearly for people who are pushing their left or right agendas, profiting politically on the deaths of children.
GFY remark is not appreciated.[/c]

It wasn't directed at you but more the cowardly leaders who have said the same ol, same ol after the continuous repeated events of this despicable horrific murders of children.

It is absolutely now the time and place to condemn the inadequate government response to these tragedies.
@DDonde given it's a cultural failing not a political one I'd be condemning the culture, if you really feel condemnation is the way forward.

How about a suggested way to prevent these things? Metal detectors. Generous tax breaks for retired law enforcement willing to take a number of hours each week to provide school security. It isn't a perfect solution but any solution might be more useful than more laws, more posing of sorrows and calls for prayers.

This one was completely avoidable and they had the killer openly saying he was going to do it. The officials involved in giving this kid a pass knew. From the top down they all have this to answer for.
This is the right time to remind them that their laws aren’t working…

I 100% agree. Do not use this to further a political agenda while families and friends mourn and grieve. And let’s not forget the first responders. The things they saw will forever be with them and will have an affect on their mental health for years to come.

Yes, no distractions.

The grieving families need support
