my retarded husband bought a bunch of bitcoin because his friends came home from college last Christmas and told him he would get rich. I married a moron.
I should have listened to my mother.

Does he still have it...you may have married a moron who's getting richer every day. Especially with Bitcoin; his 15K coin has reached as high as 64K and today is 50K. Triple his investment...if an altcoin...
Ethereum; about $741 in 2017 is now almost 4K today.

I agree, your husband does sound like a moron. Buying ANYTHING during the midst of an inflatory bubble is extremely dangerous. Especially if you don't have a very good understanding of the technology, its limits, and the state of the market as a whole. Buying it because 'his friends said so' is just ridiculous.

Dare I ask how much he money he converted into Bitcoin at the time? 😩

That guy may have said those things, but it isn't the same as saying 'buy it and you'll get rich'. That is retarded.

The first thing I say to people when asked if they should buy cryptocurrencies is 'I don't know'. I only tell them what I know about them, if they're willing to listen. Most people aren't willing because a full explanation takes a fair amount of time.
