Everything seems to be slip sliding away, why are we letting this happen? If the current state of our country and society doesn't bother you enough to pay attention you don't deserve the freedom that better men and women paid the ultimate price for in the past.

Yes....pray for our country but also find the courage and required vigilance from within which is needed to help preserve freedom and our way of life.

Freedom isn't free. Do not forget the brave men and women from the past who paid the ultimate price in preserving freedom. US military veterans deserve the utmost respect. I salute and thank all veterans past and present who served this nation.

People refusing to take action against great injustice is the greatest problem we face today. Tyranny can not exist without compliancy by the many.

I enjoy writing, I find myself reading and writing more and more. Writing a story or an article is like putting the pieces of a puzzle together. Always editing and attempting to convey one's thoughts in a better way.

Having a particular website/publisher then print your work, gives you a sense of pride. To have a positive effect upon another person's mind, just simply makes a writer feel good.

Being able to convey and then arouse thinking and emotion within another human being is one of the goals of writing. Just to be able to teach something important to another human being through the use of prose, gives one a good feeling.

Writing is becoming a lost art. Nobody is willing to do it anymore, especially within a world that is severely lacking in patience. People who don't write at all, lose their ability to think, this leads to other people thinking for them, without them even realizing it.

Writing is the exercising of the mind, people who refuse to do so will eventually lose their ability to think for themselves and their ability to recognize the more important things in life. The things which make life what it's all about.

I write poetry, if you type in poetry above my posts in the search box, a whole bunch of poems I have written will appear. I enjoy writing and touching people's heart, mind and soul through the written word.

I also write about politics. Mainly because the people in power have a huge effect upon our every day lives. If you don't hold them accountable for their policies and laws, then you don't have a right to complain. Shutting off reality doesn't make it go away.We need to get involved in our community and make sure our country remains free. Tyranny is always lurking about looking to take advantage of a society which is willfully ignorant and docile. Become involved in how your country is run or suffer the consequences. Stay informed with multiple news services or be content to exist rather than live, it's your choice.

I enjoy good conversation and I will give my personal opinion on just about everything, including politics. I tend to be blunt, real and honest. I always wonder to myself, what could have been. I enjoy 40s-80s music, 30s40s50s60s70s80s movies, history, baseball, football, basketball, horse racing, politics and people who have an open mind. I have extensive collections of movies/dvds, books, music and old film/movie star photos.

I aslo enjoy finding and posting quotes with meaning and purpose. I used to jog but have gained a few pounds and I am now walking, hoping to run again one day. I enjoy playing wordscapes, to keep my thinking mind as sharp as possible. I like flea markets and garage sales.

UPDATE.... REGARDING MY WEIGHT, I am currently on a journey to lose 90 lbs, I've been down this long and arduous process twice in my life. I am currently only 11 lbs away from that goal. It has taken 15 months now. I am still walking and now watching what I eat, choosing a better limited diet. I am also able to finally jog over the past six months.

My bloodwork has improved dramatically to almost normal levels, I am no longer pre-diabetic and things are looking better. Anybody can achieve this with grit, determination and consistency.

Life is hard, bad health contributes to depression, we all have the ability to change. It's up to each individual to decide to make the change. I am grateful I have made this choice.

I encourage everybody to get on the road to better health, without good health life is so much harder. Good luck to all who are on the path to better health. Make tomorrow, the first day in changing your life. Changing is a hard process, but well worth it. CONSISTENCY IS THE KEY, I found out that I could cheat and treat myself occasionally regarding a diet, but I realize that I can't do this often. Good luck to those struggling right now.

UPDATE MARCH 2024, I lost the 90 lbs, probably could lose ten more pounds. Working with light weights and still jogging and walking. Need to improve diet.

I am a PRO-LIFE Constitutional Conservative Catholic who believes in traditional family values and individual liberty. I believe in America and not globalism.
